About me.
I am a higher education professional and applied social scientist who is invested in equity in the academy and transforming dimensions of teaching and learning. As a practitioner, my work has cut across functional areas and institutional types and sizes. I currently advance faculty development in the community college sector as Sr. Project Manager-Faculty Development at City Colleges of Chicago. As a scholar, I study ways to advance equity in college teaching and curriculum, and the needs and thriving of LGBTQIA+ populations. My scholarship and practice inform one another; I continue to publish and collaborate with other practitioner-scholars to improve college teaching, the faculty experience, and equity and inclusion in and beyond the academy.
I am available for speaking and consulting on a variety of topics relevant to college and university administrators and faculty. Topics I have presented and consulted on include:
- Generative artificial intelligence (GAI) in college teaching
- Inclusive college teaching
- LGBTQIA+ inclusion and equity
- Neoliberalism in higher education
I use they/them/their pronouns to describe myself. I live with my cat, Caps Lock, and I enjoy playing video games, puns, coffee, and lip synching to my favorite songs.
